(1) William Sykes genealogy shows some people in Novelty, Shelby Co. MO., however in Richard Sikes and His Descendants, the First Seven Generations, Arthur Sikes points out that John was in Madison Co. OH in the 1830 Census. There are some discrepencies in the records which show Shelly Co. OH which I think should be Shelby Co. MO. There is currently no Shelly Co., OH only a Shelby Co. Also, Novelty MO is in Knox Co. and Novelty OH is in Geauga Co., so there is no Novelty in Shelly/Shelby Co. I intend to look into the Census Records to try and resolve these discrepancies.
