Attached are the images of our white board and the useful historical map that Martha Teeter brought to show us. Thanks, Sami, for photographing them for us, and thanks again to all who attended for sharing your excellent knowledge and challenges with us! This is exactly how I hoped these meetings would work and am very pleased and honored to be able to join in and learn from all of you. I wish you all much success in your research endeavors. I will send a follow-up confirmation email to this group right after this one is sent, just in case the attachments prevent this one from getting to some folks. Still troubleshooting! Thanks for your patience with me. A thank-you to Patty for this correction below to the white board info regarding the birth records she'd spoken about this morning. Thanks too for founding this Stumbles Back/Steps Forward discussion group.
The birth and death records indices are now on the site for the PA Historical and Museum Commission. I was able to find two helpful FamilySearch resources for Pennsylvania, similar to the Research Outline in the black notebook:
www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Pennsylvania_Emigration_and_Immigration And a bit of housekeeping, one of our members had a nice large mug that got left behind. I took it to the front desk and it is safe and sound. Our club will be having a Program Committee meeting in June if any of you are interested in finding out more about that and having some input into our programming. The committee is comprised of me, Jan Levenson, Patty Milich (who both sat to my right today) and Sue Torguson. We welcome additional members to join us. Let me know if that's you, and I will share the date and time with you when it is set. Thanks! Looking forward to seeing you next time!
