The main problem with Solano Counties Ownership now is there are now 3 names which are wrong.
Jean transfered here shares to Don and Dale in February, 2002, so she has no ownership.
Dale and Marty on there because of a messing original copy of a deed from 11/7/1997

It transferred a 1/48th interest 0.201% (6 acres) from Dale and Marty to Jean

These names are not currently owners

MCBRIDE JEAN A 0%
MCBRIDE MARTY S 1%
MCBRIDE DALE G 1%

1 % should be transfered to the MCBRIDE DALE G TR
1 % should be transfered to the Donald T. McBride Trust
Percents are what I deduced from what would have happend because of the missing deed, but I could not find these numbers in any documents.

Current Owners July 2025: per family.

Past History:

1869 our Great Grandfather, Jonathan Sikes, who had moved to California from Ohio in 1950 during the Gold Rush got the land thru the Homestead Act. His heritage:
His grandfather John Jones Sikes fought in the American Revolution in Massachusetts.
His 6G Grandfather George Soule came to the Plymouth Plantation on the Mayflower in 1620.
1913 Alvin Sikes inherited the ranch from his father
1966 Alvin's children, Jean McBride 1/3, Dorothy Davis 1/3, and 4 grandchildren inherited the ranch, 1/12 each when Clara sikes (their mother/grandmother) passed away. Their father Jack survived WW II and died of polio in 1953.
1960s Alvin's grandchildren sold their interest, a bit at a time to Jean McBride, Dorothy Davis, Don and Dale McBride.
1996, 1997 Don and Dale sold their interest to Jean
Dales did not get recorded
Feb 2002 Jean McBride passed away. Her interest went to Don and Dale McBride (31.25% each).
Oct 2022 Dorothy Davis passed away. Her interest went to William Davis Trust and the Pamely Macey and Robert Macey Trust (18.75% each)

In the following I refer to Actual ownership - what it should be . County Ownership Records which are different for various reasons.

Summary: Feb 2002 Jean McBride Passed and passed her interest to Donald And Dale Oct 2022 Dorothy Davis passed her interest to Pamela and William

1970s (I don't have exact dates)- We sold mineral rights to an Oil company which drilled some wells for gas.
There was salt water mixed with the gas, so It didn't pan out.
The south quarter section was split into 2 parcels for this.

In 2022 the parcels were merged. but because of a software bug at the county, it never got updated in some database and we didn't get tax bills for 3 years.

Prior to 1997 After Clara's death in 1966, Jean McBride, Dorothy Davis, and Don and Dale bought shares from our Sikes cousins as they needed money. Don transfered his shares to Jean McBride in 1997

on 11/7/1997 Dale McBride and Marty McBride transfered their remaining 1/48 0.2008% to Jean. THe original copy of that dead was lost.

Ownership records from Solano Co. Prior to Jean McBrides death in Death 2/2/2002 the actual ownership was
Jean McBride 10/16 62.5% 10/16 ths 31.25%
Dorothy Davis 6/16 37.5% 6/16 ths 18.75%
because of the missing 1997 deed Dale and Marty still were shown as having 1/48 (0.2008%)

2/3/2002 Deed Jean's share was split on her death between DONALD T. MCBRIDE, a single man and DALE G. McBRIDE and MARTY S. McBRIDE, Trustees of the McBride Family Trust dated March 14, 2000, as TENANTS IN COMMON

9/13/2021 County ownership record for parcel 0111-060-100 (Parcel 1 - 36 acres) (1/4 of the south quarter section (shown incorrectly in deeds as 1/2 of that section. It has been merged with 0111-060-90 to create 0111-060-110)

10/3/2022 Dorothy Passed - Her interest was split between William Davis and Pamela and Bob Macey
